Fleas

People with or without pets can experience problems with Fleas. Large numbers of Fleas can be found on wild animals and feral cats. Keeping wildlife from living under decks or in your crawl space will greatly reduce the chance of you experiencing a flea infestation.

With the current advances in on-animal treatments, the need to apply chemicals inside the home has been greatly reduced. When fleas do become a problem, your control measures should be targeted toward areas that are frequented by pets and other animals as well as directly on the pets. All products that are used should contain an insect growth regulator(IGR). This product is non toxic to vertebrates and prevents the development of flea larve into adult fleas.

One should also take note that fleas can act as vectors of disease, including Lyme Disease, plague, tapeworms, and rocky mountain spotter fever. If you suspect a current infestation of fleas please do not hesiste in contacting us. Our technicians have the experience and skill to elimate this pest and to stop reoccuring problems and infestations.
